Embarking on a Home Renovation Project isn’t something that you do everyday and it can certainly feel a little overwhelming. So how do you go about choosing the right Company to work with and to satisfy yourself that you’ve ticked all the boxes!
The most important factor to realise is that although budget plays a big role in any project, when choosing the right Company to work with you also have a number of other factors to consider:
COMPETENCE – a Company that is confident in their offering will happily arrange for you to see or speak to recent clients about their experience with them.
INTEGRITY – Do you feel comfortable with the people you are working with in the Company? A Home Renovation Project is an investment in your home and you need to trust the people you are choosing to work with and know they will deliver what they have agreed to.
PRODUCTS – when comparing products, make sure you are comparing like for like. There will be a reason why there is a differentiation in the furniture quotes – quality of product, internal mechanisms such as drawers, Le Mans Carousels, etc. can make a significant difference to quotations as can your choice of worksurface!
EXPERIENCE – you often can’t put a price on experience and I’m not saying that because you should be paying for that experience, indeed the opposite! Working with a Company with many years’ experience can often save you money in the long run as mistakes are avoided and adjustments can be made to quotes that won’t affect the overall performance of your project.
PRICE – A Company that is prepared to offer you a significant discount from their original quotation in order to secure the project was obviously overpricing in the first place! A quote should be priced fairly from the start and if the quotation needs adjustment, then this can be done by looking at alternative products, removing mechanisms, etc. to then get it to the level of investment that you need it to be.
