Do you find yourself getting more and more frustrated by the faceless society that we seem to be finding ourselves in? I know I do! Larger organisations seem to go out of their way to avoid personal contact with their consumers. Even when you eventually navigate your way around a complex website to find the contact us page and finally a phone no. to call, you find yourself talking to a robot and then being pushed back to a robotic on-line chat!!
But this is where the smaller, independent companies really stand out from the crowd. And yes, budget plays a huge factor in any consumer purchase but have you asked yourself how important it is to you to also receive a customer service offering that makes you feel like you are a valued customer and not just another transaction. What is the price you are prepared to pay for stress, time in sorting out issues and an inferior quality product!
Having worked in both the corporate hospitality industry and now the fabulous world of interior design, I love meeting new people and building relationships with our clients. In fact, when our client projects come to an end I feel a little sad that we are no longer having meetings discussing requirements and finalising detail.
We are with our clients every step of the way, meeting them initially in our showroom and having an informal chat over coffee and cake to working with them closely on their project every step of the way, through to the project completion. We return to many of our projects a few months after completion to professionally photograph them, which is a testament in itself to how our clients are loving their new spaces and gladly welcome us back into their home to showcase a truly stunning project.
So although it seems we have to accept the faceless society being forced upon us by the larger organisations, we can still all enjoy the personal level of attention that we receive from the smaller, independents.
