That’s easy to answer! A successful project that comes in on time and on budget is one that has been carefully planned.
Undertaking a Home Renovation Project is no mean feat, and the project can go on longer than it needs to if you don’t keep the momentum going! The longer the project goes on, the more it’s likely to increase costs and the only way to ensure that you don’t lose that momentum is to ensure that it is planned from start to finish and you keep in control of it!
So how do you go about ensuring that your project is a successful project! Ensure you work with a Company or Companies that are meticulous in their planning and are happy to work in conjunction with you and each other. If you’re having building works, then the Building Company should furnish you with a GANT chart so you can clearly see when each stage of the build works is scheduled. Then if working with companies such as Vita Nova Interiors to install your fabulous new kitchen, they can then plan their installation schedule accordingly and ensure that there aren’t periods when nothing is going on.
At the same time, be realistic as with any renovations there can often be unforeseen works but a good Building Company will allow provision for this, depending on the level of works required, so that they can still fulfil the project completion date.
Also make sure you allocate it the time it deserves in your diary! Although it can be overwhelming with so many decisions to be made, be realistic that your social life will take a hit during this period – believe me, it’s worth it as the end result will be worth the time afforded! Choose not to engage from start to finish and be prepared to be disappointed!
